The 2012 Innovators of Change forum took place on October 22 at the University of Miami Alumni Center.
We thank all of the attendees, speakers, volunteers and sponsors who helped make this event a great success. We look forward to seeing you at next year's forum!
Participant reflections:
"LOVED It! it was a great event. Key connections, a good diversity of individuals and a wealth of information... As I am looking forward on doing my masters in International Development all of these presentations had key things that I found beneficial." - Event attendee
"I definitely felt re-energized to continue pursuing my goals... I am still trying to figure out what I will pursue for my masters; but my passion is development in Africa in general. I truly enjoyed the forum last Monday, as I have envisioned to be able to open my own organization one day... Thank you so much for all the planning, it was awesome!" - Event attendee
"It was such a pleasure to be a member of that awesome panel and inspiring event... I look forward to continued dialogue with all of you as we continue to improve lives and impact our world." - Nathan Burrell, Founder & CEO of Helping Our Nations Empowering Youth Ventures Inc. (HONEY) and Innovators of Change Keynote Speaker
"This week’s "Innovators of Change" forum hosted by the Casimiro [Global] Foundation at the University of Miami reminded me of a few important themes that should be part of our thinking around social innovation and entrepreneurship — and they are themes and reminders I need to hear often. I jotted down a few notes and am always looking for good ideas on how social innovation and social entrepreneurship interact and are helping shape our future." - Aaron Sherinian, Vice-President of Communications and Public Relations at the United Nations Foundation and Innovators of Change Keynote Speaker (see the full blog post at http://globalextrovert.com/miami-conversations-about-social-innovation-and-entrepreneurship/)
