The Casimiro Global Foundation believes that microenterprises add value to a country's economy by creating jobs, enhancing income, strengthening purchasing power, lowering costs and adding business convenience. Because microenterprises typically have little to no access to commercial banking, particularly in developing nations, they often rely on "micro-loans" or micro-credit in order to meet their start-up needs.
The Foundation recognizes that there are millions of innocent people in the world suffering. They experience pain, hunger and sometimes hopelessness. The objective is to help as many of these people as possible through the SEED Capital Fund for micro-businesses. Through job creation and economic sustainability, these micro-businesses can help alleviate some of the world's poverty.
Through our strategic alliances and partnerships, candidates of the SEED capital fund are encouraged to prepare a business plan that shows growth, job creation and well-defined social responsibility strategy that will impact underserved communities. The Board of Directors reviews each plan for feasibility and the impact it can potentially have in the community where that business will be launched. Selected applicants receive a business start-up grant and some consulting to assure the business will succeed.
To benefit from the CGF SEED capital fund, applicants must submit a business plan that demonstrates that it will produce profit, create jobs and generate positive social impact in underserved communities.
